Sedena presidential hangar will operate at the AICM – El Sol de México

The presidential hangar of the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) be operated and managed by the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena), according to a decree published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF).

This space will be used for “military activitiesthat the Sedena has. According to the DOF publication, the agency will only operate the hangar, but will not have his rights of possession.

“Destiny only confers upon the Secretary of National Defensethe right to take advantage of the property intended for authorized use, but does not transfer ownership thereofnor does it grant any real right over it,” details the published decree.

If reconstruction, modification, adaptation, conservation, maintenance, repair and demolition of the property is required, the Sedena must manage the obtaining of licensespermits, authorizations or any other similar that is required.

The Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) will be in charge of monitoring and taking care of the provisions of the decree, through the Institute of Administration and Appraisals of National Assets.

“If the Sedena gives the federal property intended for it a use other than that established (…) or stops using or needing it, said property with all its improvements and accessions will be removed from its service to be administered.” directly by this Institute,” according to the decree.
