Structure of the Mayan Train collapses in Quintana Roo – El Sol de México

Bacalar. The collapse of a structure at the Mayan Train works between Bacalar and Pedro A. Santos left two workers injured, according to emergency services, who transferred the injured to a clinic in Bacalar.

The report indicates that the events occurred last Thursday afternoon when a structure collapsed and fell on two of the workers of the work being built at forced march on section 6 of the Maya Train.

The workers were rescued from the rubble and supported by their colleagues and transferred to Bacalar, where halfway there an ambulance intercepted them and admitted them to the hospital for emergency medical care, where they are reported stable and recovering satisfactorily.

The injured workers respond to the names of Gerardo ‘S’, who suffered an eye injury and David ‘C’, who has blows and injuries that are not life-threatening.

Although the accident occurred yesterday Thursday, Sedena authorities have not reported on the events that occurred in the south of Quintana Roo.

Currently in Quintana Roo there are 611 kilometers of tracks under construction between sections 5, 6 and 7, as well as eight stations and three bus stops, with nearly 50 thousand workers working around the clock to complete the great work of the Mayan Train.
