The Duchess Sofia of Edinburgh today became the first member of the British royal family to visit Ukraine and in turn, in meeting with the president of that country, Volodymyr Zelensky. The wife of prince edward I send, on behalf of the British Foreign Office, a message of support and resilience to the Ukrainian people, who continue to survive the Russian invasion.
Sofia of Edinburgh has taken on an important task on behalf of the government and royalty of his country. He has made an important trip to Ukraine and met with the Head of state of that country.

The wife of prince edward had the opportunity to meet several survivors of the Russian attacks, to which he did not hesitate to send an important message:
“I appreciate your honesty. As they tell me the terrible things they went through, their stories are painful. Unfortunately, I hear a lot like this around the world, but I appreciate your time and sincerity. “I will take them home deep in my heart,” said the Duchess.
In addition, Sofía also walked the streets of Bucha, one of the cities most affected by the attacks. There he paid his respects to the more than 450 people who were murdered and stated that “women and girls pay the most high” of the war that is currently being experienced in the region.
The visit to Ukraine by Sofia from Edinburgh takes an important step in the connections of the British royal family with the government of that country. And in turn they place the duchess in a position of greater importance within the monarchy.
