ANAM and IP agree on contingency plan for stoppage of customs operations – El Sol de México

The Confederation of Industrial Chambers (Concamin) assured that together with the National Customs Agency of Mexico (ANAM) A contingency plan will be made to avoid new effects due to operational failures, such as those that occurred this Thursday in various parts of the country.

In a statement, the Concamin He explained that he will hold working tables with ANAM authorities in the coming days, since the objective is to generate this project as soon as possible.

He clarified that until now there is no estimate of the losses in the industries affected by the closure of the International Bridge III of World Trade Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.

However, he said that the main affected is the Tax Administration System (SAT), since the stoppage of operations translates into lower customs revenue for the country.

“The problem that arose in the International Bridge mainly affects the Tax administration systembecause this is the one that stops collecting a significant amount of resources, due to the closure of that commercial passage,” he added.

Separately, the SAT by Antonio Martínez Dagnino told El Sol de México that the failures at customs were due to “a system update that caused temporary interruptions.”

“Today, customs activity is functioning normally,” highlighted the tax authority.

ANAM warned of failures since the beginning of February

Prior to the failures recorded between Wednesday and Thursday, the ANAM It warned at the beginning of the month that its systems could operate intermittently due to a series of preventive maintenance.
