Chilangos, without worrying: transportation rates in CDMX will not increase – El Sol de México

The head of government, Martí Batres Guadarrama, assured that the rates of the public transport in charge of its administration will not increase.

The president said yesterday that the Metro, Metrobús, Trolleybús, Cablebus, Light Rail and RTP will maintain current costs.

“When the pandemic issue occurred, it was decided not to increase the Metro fares and others… but we are continuing and this is how we are going to end this six-year term,” he said. Batres Guadarrama.

Furthermore, the official highlighted that with this measure, the public transport of the city remains the most economic from the country.

Batres Guadarrama He recalled that in 2024 the Metro will have an additional billion pesos to the approved budget by 2023, so the works will continue, especially in the eastern area.

He also highlighted the construction of the Cablebús Line 3in Constituciónntes, between the Álvaro Obregón and Miguel Hidalgo mayors, as well as the works of the Interurban Train “El Insurgente” that connects with Toluca, and the train that will connect Buenavista with the Felipe Ángeles Airport, among other works.

The head of government also highlighted the different mobility and transportation projects rehabilitation of public spaces in Iztapalapa, such as the Cablebús, the Park in Santa Cruz Meyehualco, where there was a garbage dump, as well as the first Elevated Trolleybus and the lighting of Avenida Ermita Iztapalapa.
