The head of Government, Marti Batresreported that in May the new route can operate Trolleybus on Avenida Aztecas that will go from Perisur to the Taxqueña Metro of Line 2.
For his part, the secretary of Works and services of the City, Jesús Esteva, specified that the construction of this new route takes 37 percent.
“In terms of work progress, we come from the weekly monitoring meeting and we are reaching 37 percent. I believe that even with the electromechanical orders, we should be, financially, close to 40, 45 percent,” Esteva pointed out.
The head of Government indicated that line of Trolleybus will benefit the most economically disadvantaged population of the Coyoacán mayor’s office, offering trips with better infrastructure, reduction in travel time of up to 20 percent, and for four pesos, a lower cost than the rest of the public transport.
“It is a very important mobility project, with a high social meaning because it passes through the most marginalized area of Coyoacán, it is where the lowest-income families live. Coyoacannot only there, but mainly and, therefore, it has a very important social impact,” explained Batres.

The construction of this line is contemplating an investment of 197 million pesosonly in civil works that includes the construction of 19 stations along seven kilometers.
In addition, the secretary of local mobility, Andrés Lajous, reported that the replacement of 74 minibuses and 25 diesel buses, which involves financing the FIFINTRAbus replacement trust, with 33 million pesos.
