Máynez tours Tepito and “casts cascarita” in the rough neighborhood of CDMX – El Sol de México

The presidential standard bearer of Movimiento Ciudadano, Jorge Álvarez Máynez, campaigned this Saturday in the center of Mexico City with a tour of the street businesses of Tepito, one of the most emblematic neighborhoods of the capital, and where he also played a “ football shell.

Álvarez Máynez entered the heart of the city accompanied by the licensed mayor of Cuauhtémoc, Sandra Cuevas, whom he thanked for the invitation and the reception of the people.

“I thank the people of the Tepito neighborhood for opening not only the doors of the neighborhood but also the doors of their families, for allowing me to communicate with their sons and daughters,” said the candidate before starting the game.

At the El Maracaná soccer field, in Tepito, Jorge Álvarez Máynez supported the Senate candidacies of Sandra Cuevas and Alejandra Barrales, as he assured that they have always represented the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office and the Tepito neighborhood with pride.

We can say that it will be the first time in history that Tepito has not one senator, but two senators, two senators who have always represented Cuauhtémoc, the neighborhood with pride and who are not going to change to become senators. he emphasized.

Máynez highlighted that the Citizen Movement candidate for the Head of Government of Mexico City, Salomón Chertorivski, has always defended street vendors and criticized that “the old policy” calls them “informal.”

“They are not informal, the informal ones have been the ones that have left millions of Mexican men and women without social rights, without labor rights, with precariousness,” he said.

The candidate thanked the young people of the town for keeping the trust of a different political future alive and highlighted that during the first presidential debate, Movimiento Ciudadano was the party that received the least attacks from the presidential candidates Claudia Sheinbaum and Xóchitl Gálvez.

At the soccer meeting in which street vendors also participated, Álvarez Máynez was grateful for the gestures of affection because they gave him a soccer jersey, with the name of who, he said, was the best goalkeeper in history, Jorge Campos.
