The 48th edition of the Tianguis Turístico left a spill of more than one billion pesos to this port of Guerrero, reported the head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur), Miguel Torruco.
In a press conference, the official explained that 73.2 million pesos were recorded in lodging alone, with an occupancy of 79.6 percent of the nine thousand 500 rooms available in Acapulco.
Regarding the consumption of services, Torruco said that spending totaled 938 million pesos during the week of the event.
To this, he pointed out that the extra effort a week before to set up the fair and the following days for its dismantling is added.
Regarding the results of the event, the head of Sectur reported that 35,748 business appointments were made with 1,115 buyers from 833 companies.
“Although the results are not comparable with other editions, our objective was met and was to demonstrate that Acapulco is valid and reborn to once again be a great international destination,” said the official.
